Remote Desktop Error Events 50 and 56

Problem:
Remote Desktop Connection keeps hanging randomly, temporarly disconnecting the client from the remote machine.

TermDD, Event ID 56
The Terminal Server security layer detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client.

Event ID 50
The RDP protocol component X.224 detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client.


Solutions:

- Apply Windows Updates and reboot client and server

- Update NIC drivers

- Turn Off Chimney Offload
netsh interface tcp set global chimney=disabled

- Turn off auto tuning
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

- Change MTU
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=1300 store=persistent

Check states
netsh interface tcp show global
